A traffic free 5k route taking in Avenham and Miller parks and the surrounding paths of the old tram rd.
The run is in memory of Ben Ashworth who sadly died in 2017, who bravely completed 24 marathons in 24 months between 2014 and 2016, after being diagnosed as terminally ill in 2012 and being told he only had months to live.
Start and Finish is at the start of the Ben Ashworth section of the Guild Wheel (opposite The Continental) and the start time is 11am
The distance is 5k and all proceeds will be donated to Rosemere Cancer Foundation.
Why We Need Your Help
By taking part in the Rosemere Santa Dash, you are helping us to deliver pioneering cancer care to patients throughout our region. Around 9000 people are diagnosed with cancer a year in the area that Rosemere covers. but with your help we can be at the forefront of cancer treatments, and we can fund vital research, the latest therapies, and innovations in cancer treatment. Where ever these patients are treated there will be projects there that are funded by Rosemere, projects that help make cancer treatment more effective and less stressful.
We are so often told that Rosemere Cancer Foundation is unlike any other cancer unit. The Charity has funded a range of projects which help to make Rosemere a place that stays in people’s hearts, including bringing cancer treatment closer to patients’ homes and breaking boundaries by becoming the first in the Northwest to offer a number of treatments.
Will you join Team Rosemere and make a difference to those with cancer in our region today?
