This years virtual event can be run anywhere , any place between November 22nd and December 13th with a leaderboard in place to record your time, a digital certificate and a finisher medal sent out by post to all participants.
The run is in memory of Ben Ashworth who sadly died in 2017, who bravely completed 24 marathons in 24 months between 2014 and 2016, after being diagnosed as terminally ill in 2012 and being told he only had months to live.
His family have asked runners if possible, to try and complete the challenge on the section of Guild wheel in his name, starting from Miller park near the Continental out to the memorial stone on the Guild wheel and back, leaving a pebble by the stone . The distance is 5k and all proceeds will be donated to Rosemere Cancer Foundation.
